Here are the top stories today in Orlando:

1. Orlando Cat Café in Clermont has been donating pet oxygen masks to the Lake County Fire Rescue department the last few years so that their trucks are stocked in an emergency. They use the masks on about two to three pets a year to save the lives of cats and dogs left behind in fires. (WMFE)

2. Daytona Beach Police Chief Jakari Young tore into U.S. House Rep. Mike Waltz for sharing an update on the condition of a DBPD officer who was shot in the head last month, claiming he had no right to share that information. (Orlando Weekly)

3. Two families are suing Universal Orlando after incidents where an actor playing the “Despicable Me” movie character Gru made a racist hand gesture while posing for photos and video with biracial children. (Click Orlando)

4. Starting July 12 and for a month, different neighborhood centers in the Orlando area including the Engelwood Neighborhood Center will offer COVID-19 vaccines at one-day mobile sites as they look to boost vaccinations. It is a partnership between Florida Department of Health in Orange County and City of Orlando. (Spectrum News 13)

5. A Brevard County school bus driver is accused of giving a high school student a copy of a book he wrote about child rape, according to the Sheriff’s Office. The book the book contained graphic details about several rape events including a 3-year-old girl being raped. (WFTV)
