'Dear Evan Hansen' Coming To Orlando, How To Get Tickets

ORLANDO, FL — "Dear Evan Hansen," the hit Broadway musical that won six Tony Awards in 2017, including Best Musical, is coming to Orlando this spring for a week of performances at the Walt Disney Theater. The musical will be performed April 16-21.

The show, which is making its first national tour, is the story of a socially awkward teenager whose therapist suggests he start writing upbeat letters to himself to improve his outlook and overcome his anxieties. But when one of the letters finds its way into the hands of a schoolmate who later commits suicide, it sparks a complex chain of events that thoroughly test Evan's resilience and emotional strength before he finds a measure of peace.

The show was nominated for nine Tonys and won five in addition to Best Musical, including Best Actor Ben Platt and Best Score.
