Valencia College Trustees To Meet Sept. 9 To Discuss Search For Next President
Board members will review the results of a survey of Valencia faculty and staff as part of the search process.

Following the announcement of the retirement of Valencia College president Sandy Shugart in June 2021, the college’s board of trustees will begin discussing the search for his replacement at a workshop in September.

The Valencia College District Board of Trustees will hold a public meeting on Sept. 9 at 9:30 a.m. to discuss the search process and timeline, identify a search committee and establish the qualifications for the position. Board members will also review the results of a survey of Valencia faculty and staff on what they are looking for in the college’s next president.
