The Watermark at Vistawilla ranked top place to work

The local assisted living and memory care community was ranked among Fortune Magazine's top 50 places to work in Aging Services

Watermark Retirement Communities and The Watermark at Vistawilla have been recognized by Fortune Magazine as one of the top 50 places to work in Aging Services. The recognition comes after Fortune research partner Great Place to Work, analyzed survey results from more than 162,000 employees working in senior housing and at-home care.

The certification process considered more than 3,000 Watermark employee surveys from across Watermark Retirement Communities’ 51 locations. The survey found that 92 percent of Watermark associates say their workplace has a great atmosphere, and 87 percent say their work has special meaning.

“Over the course of our thirty-year history, we have learned what makes a community an extraordinary and innovative place to live and work,” said David Barnes, President/CEO of Watermark Retirement Communities, Inc. “We have found that company culture is perhaps the most critical key to success. When associates are engaged, motivated and bring a passion for what they do, anything is possible. We are proud to be recognized as a great place to work and we owe the honor entirely to our associates themselves.”
