Pensacola, FL — As the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic threatens a long list of 2020’s quintessential holiday traditions, it might still be possible to take your family on a hunt for the ideal Christmas tree this year — and do it safely.
Did you know that at least 25 million real Christmas trees are sold each year across America, and currently, 350 million are growing in all 50 U.S. states? And despite these unprecedented times, the practice will continue in 2020. Christmas tree lots and choose-and-cut farms nationwide are taking precautions amid the coronavirus pandemic to ensure shoppers can take home their ideal tree with minimal risk to their health and safety.
In fact, the National Christmas Tree Association has developed a new guide containing recommendations and best practices for Christmas tree providers to follow, including frequently sanitizing items such as hand saws and tree cart handles, as well as countertops, restrooms and other areas.
