Escambia County District Schools Remain Closed Due To Hurricane Sally On Tuesday, Wednesday
Board of education meetings have been rescheduled.

Superintendent Malcolm Thomas has announced that Escambia School District schools and administrative offices will remain closed on Tuesday, September 15 and Wednesday, September 16, 2020, as a result of Hurricane Sally's arrival to the Gulf Coast. The cancellation of school district activities includes all extracurricular activities, as well as the Special School Board Meeting and Regular School Board Meeting slated for 5:01 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 15, 2020.

The Special School Board Meeting and Final Budget Hearing will be rescheduled for Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 5:01p.m., and the Regular School Board Meeting will follow the Special Meeting, and begin at 5:30 p.m., also on September 22, 2020.
At this time, Superintendent Thomas and district administration will continue to monitor the progress of Hurricane Sally. All district employees and families are urged to do the same. At this time, plans to resume regular district operations are set for Thursday, September 17, 2020.
