Escambia County Schools To Reopen Friday Following Hurricane Zeta
No significant damage to buildings has been reported.

Superintendent Malcolm Thomas has announced that all schools and district administrative buildings will resume normal operations on Friday, October 30, 2020. All district employees are to report to their work sites at the normally scheduled time on Friday.

Damage assessments of district facilities have been conducted. Although no significant damage was noted, at least nine schools (seven elementary and two middle) were without power as reported by the Emergency Operations Center. Gulf Power indicates all schools will have power restored by late afternoon, Thursday, October 29, 2020.
