Panama City Active Shooter Suspect Found Dead
The Walton County Sheriff's Office said the incident is connected to a suspicious death in Santa Rosa Beach

PANAMA CITY, FL — A man who shot at officers from his Panama City apartment complex has been found dead inside one of the apartments, according to multiple media reports. The incident is connected to a suspicious death in Santa Rosa Beach, according to the Walton County Sheriff's Office.
The suspect has been identified by authorities as 49-year-old Kevin Robert Holroyd.
Authorities said a suspect in the apartment complex began firing his weapon at officers when they arrived on scene. The scene of the shooting, 23rd Street and Beck Avenue, is about 40 miles southeast of where the body in Santa Rosa Beach was discovered earlier Tuesday.

An EMS worker received medical care for a non-critical injury, according to Panama City government spokeswoman Caitlin Lawrence. According to the Bay County Sheriff's office, the EMS worker was grazed by a bullet.
Local news channel WJHG reported that multiple agencies responded to the scene, including the Walton County Sheriff's Office. Witnesses told the news channel they heard more than 50 gunshots.

The Walton County Sheriff's Office said they were on the scene assisting the Bay County Sheriff's Office in Panama City.
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office has identified Clinton Street, 30, as the victim in Walton County suspicious death.
Some schools in the area were placed on lockdown.
