Watch Out For Temporary Lane Closure On Palafox Street

Temporary Lane Closure on Palafox Street Thursday and Friday

An Emerald Coast Utilities Authority contractor will temporarily close a section of South Palafox Street Thursday, Jan. 30 and Friday, Jan. 31 to repair an ECUA water main in the area.

The lane closure will begin at approximately 9 a.m., and the roadway is expected to reopen by noon on Friday, Jan. 31, weather permitting.

One lane will be closed on the section of South Palafox Street between West Main Street and West Zarragossa Street. Traffic will be detoured from South Palafox Street to West Main Street, then to South Baylen Street to West Zarragossa Street and back to South Palafox Street.

Detour signs will be posted in the work area. Sidewalks will remain open and pedestrian access to businesses will be maintained during construction.
