Art Center Sarasota Presents 'Elsewhere' Aug 30 To Sept. 28

SARASOTA, FL -- Art Center Sarasota, 707 N. Tamiami Trail in Sarasota, closes its 2017-18 season with “Elsewhere,” an all-media, all subjects, juried exhibition open to regional artists Aug. 30 to Sept. 28. The opening reception is Thursday, Aug. 30 from 5 to 7 p.m.

“Our region is a hotbed of year-round, world-class visual arts talent. This exhibition will feature artists who make Sarasota and the vicinity their permanent home, showcasing work with a diverse selection of mediums, styles and subjects,” said Lisa Berger, executive director.

Regional artists are invited to submit up to three two- and three-dimensional works in a variety of media. Prizes include $500 (first place); $300 (second place); $200 (third place); two merit awards of $50 gift cards and 10 honorable mention ribbons.
