Closest to Pin Award: Charles Varah, Big Summer Golf Card partner, hands Bobby Paschall his $500 cash award for the closest-to-pin contest that was part of the Hole-in-One Shootout at University Park Country Club.
Seven of 11 local Big Summer Golf card holders who shot holes-in-one at one of the 54 participating courses this summer recently came together at University Park Country Club to see if their luck would carry forward at a special hole-in-one shoot-out.
While the $50,000 grand prize that would have been awarded if one of players shot a hole-in-one did not materialize, a closest-to-the-pin contest gave Bobby Paschall from Bradenton Beach a $500 cash prize.
