Committed to protecting the health and safety of its staff and diners, Blasé Bistro & Martini Bar on Hillview made good use of their COVID closure to install a new filter purification AC systems prior to re-opening on June 4. The systems are AHPCO Technology and NASA developed with Germicidal UV that reduce viruses, bacteria, mold and airborne allergens. In addition, partners Kevin Skiest and Cindy Breslin also implemented and trained staff on new COVID-19 guidelines for their re-openings.

Both locations conduct daily employee temperature checks and require masks for all staff and use enhanced cleaning protocols in the kitchen and dining areas. In addition, indoor dining is limited to 50 percent capacity including six-feet spacing at the bar and between tables. Both restaurants offer outdoor seating in addition to indoor options, with Blasé Café /Pi Pizza offering the greatest outdoor availability. Blasé Bistro & Martini Bar is open Tuesday-Saturday starting at 5 p.m. and closed on Sunday and Monday. Blasé Café & PI Pizza on Siesta Key is open daily with service starting at 2 p.m.

Diners can choose from on-line, takeout, curbside, delivery (through Bite Squad and Door Dash) and packaged liquor sales so they can dine in the environment and setting that is most comfortable for them.

History

Owned and operated by partners Cynthia Breslin and Kevin Skiest, Blasé Bistro & Martini Bar offers a unique Mediterranean dining experience with regional influences. Blasé Bistro is the second restaurant to open under the Blasé name, the first being the 22+ year Blasé Café & Martini Bar on Siesta Key, opened by Breslin in 1997, which grew from one table in one space to what is now a 100-seat restaurant with three bars and the adjacent pizza and craft beer restaurant, Pi 3.14, which opened in 2016. Partner Kevin Skiest, a real estate and business investor, joined the Blasé family in 2016 to help re-organize and re-energize the business.
