Boaters Rescued Near Big Sarasota Pass
Coast Guard rescued three boaters after they were stranded due to engine problems.

Three boaters rescued by the Coast Guard near Big Sarasota Pass on Thursday are safely back on land after being stranded off of Lido and Siesta keys.
Three men were on a fishing trip in their 22-foot boat and became stranded near Big Sarasota Pass due to engine problems. The father of one of the boaters told the Coast Guard Sector in St. Petersburg at 9:45 p.m.
At 11:33 p.m., the Coast Gaurd launched a helicopter and boatcrew search, and after seeing a flare shot off by the boaters, the Coast Guard found the men at 12:30 a.m. Thursday, according to the Coast Guard.

The RB-M boatcrew towed the boat safely to the Coquina Boat Ramp in Bradenton Beach. No one was injured, according to the Coast Guard.
