Buchanan Honored for Job Creation, Growing Economy
Local representative earned U.S. Chamber's Spirit of Enterprise Award.

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The U.S. Chamber of Commerce presented U.S. Rep. Vern Buchanan the Spirit of Enterprise Award for his legislative record of creating jobs and growing the economy.
The award was presented to Buchanan based on his votes in Congress to create jobs, including the Keystone Pipeline, and lift restrictions on businesses, among others. Buchanan earned a legislative rating of 90 percent from the U.S. Chamber in 2015.
“The Spirit of Enterprise Award honors those members of Congress who are committed to ensuring that American businesses can continue to operate and succeed in a free enterprise system,” said Tom Donohue, president and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
