DOH Site Closed, Pop-up Clinics Planned Memorial Day Weekend
The Sarasota Square Mall vaccine clinic will close Saturday and Monday, while pop-up clinics are scheduled in Venice and North Port.

SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — While the Department of Health in Sarasota County’s regular vaccine clinic will be closed over Memorial Day weekend, two pop-up vaccination events are planned in Venice and North Port, according to a news release from the county.
The DOH clinic is typically open every day, but Sunday at Sarasota Square Mall will close Saturday and Monday in observation of Memorial Day.
The Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines will be available at a clinic operated by the state’s Region 6 Incident Management Team at Venice City Hall Friday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

First and second doses of Pfizer will be available at this clinic to anyone 12 and older, while Johnson & Johnson will be given to those 18 and older. A second-dose clinic will be scheduled at Venice City Hall June 18.

The DOH has partnered with the city of North Port and the state’s Region 6 Incident Management Team to offer a walk-up Pfizer vaccination clinic at the George Mullen Activity Center at 1602 Kramer Way in North Port Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. This clinic is open to anyone ages 12 and up who want to receive their first or second doses.
At both pop-up events, a parent or guardian must accompany anyone younger than 18 and everyone receiving a vaccine must present a signed consent form. Blank consent forms will be available at the clinic.
A second-dose vaccination clinic is scheduled at North Port High School June 19.
