Nine-year-old Kimora Lynum became Florida's youngest person to die from the coronavirus on July 17 after being checked at UF Health in Gainesville six days earlier with stomach pain and a fever of 103 degrees Fahrenheit, according to a GoFundMe for the child. She was not given a coronavirus test at the time she was seen by hospital staff.

"Fast forward to July 17, when Kimmie spent the day playing with family and friends outside and was in great spirits that day," the GoFundMe said.

"Later in the evening, she informed her mother she was feeling tired, so she was going to lie down. A short time later, Kimmie’s mother went to check on Kimmie and found her unresponsive," the GoFundme said. "CPR was performed by family members until emergency responders arrived. Regrettably, neither of their efforts were successful. Results from a test performed posthumous revealed she was COVID positive."
