Siesta Drive Reopens After Gas Leak: Police

A gas leak temporarily shut down the 600 block of Siesta Drive in both directions Thursday, police said.

SARASOTA, FL — The 600 block of Siesta Drive, which had been shut down in both directions Thursday around 11 a.m. because of a gas leak, has reopened, Sarasota police tweeted.

Police assisted Sarasota County Emergency Services by rerouting drivers onto Norsota Way while the gas leak was investigated.
