Sarasota, FL–Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida has announced the People’s Choice winners for the 11th Annual Gingerbread Festival.
The winner in the Youth category was “Gingerbread School House,” entered by Mrs. Spence’s class at McNeal Elementary. Tandem Construction’s entry, “GSGCF Holiday Headquarters,” took first place in the Community Partner category.
Organized by Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida, the annual Gingerbread Festival featured more than 150 gingerbread houses crafted by local school and youth groups, Girl Scout troops, community organizations and businesses.

More than 16,000 visitors attended over the ten-day event, which concluded on December 15. For a $1 donation, attendees had the opportunity to vote for their favorite houses on display. Net proceeds from the event will benefit Girl Scout programs across ten counties in the Gulfcoast region.
