Government Offices Close for Holiday

But the municipal golf course will stay open, and trash collection will be uninterrupted.

Sarasota city offices will be closed Friday, Dec. 23, and Monday, Dec. 26, for the long Christmas holiday weekend.

  • Weekly garbage and recycling collection will not be affected by the holiday.
  • City parking meters and pay stations will not be enforced Friday-Monday.
  • Bobby Jones Golf Club will be open every day through the holidays, and host the 4th Annual Reindeer Games on Christmas Day. Lido
  • Pool and the Robert Taylor Community Center will be closed Christmas Day.
  • Sarasota County government offices will be closed Friday-Monday.
  • There will be no Sarasota County Area Transit on Sunday, Christmas Day.
  • Arlington Pool, the Knight Trail Park gun range and the Payne Park Tennis Center will be closed Saturday-Monday.
