Humane Society of Sarasota County celebrates National Adopt a Shelter Cat Month

SARASOTA, Fla. – The Humane Society of Sarasota County (HSSC) is celebrating National Adopt a Shelter Cat Month with a “Black Tie Affair” adoption promotion.

Adoption fees for black and tuxedo adult cats are reduced to $25 on June 29-30.

“Nationwide, we know that black cats are often overlooked in shelters. Our “Black Tie Affair” cat promotion is designed to give these cats the attention they need to be adopted. If you’ve overlooked black cats or kittens before, you are missing out on an opportunity to live with a tiny house panther.” says Anna Gonce, Executive Director of the Humane Society of Sarasota County.

All cats adopted from HSSC are up to date on vaccinations and flea, tick, and parasite preventives; spayed/neutered; microchipped, dewormed, and leukemia and FIV tested.
