JFCS receives $60,000 grant from Community Foundation of Sarasota

Charlotte P. Graver Fund & Community Foundation of Sarasota County Award grant to JFCS for program and event support

JFCS of the Suncoast was recently awarded a $60,000 grant from the Charlotte P. Graver Fund and Community Foundation of Sarasota County to provide support for JFCS community based outreach programs and events. The funds will be used toward ongoing funding needs for JFCS’ seven focal areas, which include outreach and support services for families, children, youth, cancer support, veterans, Jewish healing and seniors, as well as events, which help raise additional funds for the non-profit agency across a six-county region.

“JFCS is most appreciative of the support received from Charlotte P. Graver and the Community Foundation of Sarasota County, particularly during this time of year when holiday stress and support needs are at an all-time high,” said Heidi Brown, CEO of JFCS. “Last year, JFCS served more than 29,000 individuals and the generosity of grants such as these will allow us to continue to provide and grow programs and help struggling individuals on their journey to health and wellness.”
