Knight Trail Park Range Officially Reopened
The Nokomis park facility was closed while extra barriers were installed at the range.

NOKOMIS, FL – The pistol and rifle range at Knight Trail Park has reopened to the public following the installation of baffles.
The 50-yard, 25-yard and 12-yard portions of the range will be available with the completion of Phase 2 of the renovations to install the barriers. The 100-yard range reopened last month.
Sarasota County staff, with assistance from the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office trustees and work offender programs, installed the baffles in order to provide a safer environment for the area beyond the berm at the pistol and rifle range. That area will be used by the adjacent Sarasota Trap, Skeet & Clays facility for a new sporting clay course.
