Man In Wheelchair Robbed At Sarasota Walgreens
The Sheriff's Office is searching for two suspects who robbed the man outside the Walgreens at 3601 Bee Ridge Road early Tuesday morning.
A man in a wheelchair just trying to shop at a Sarasota Walgreens overnight Tuesday was punched and robbed outside the store by a couple who are now being sought by the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office.
A man and a woman approached the 45-year-old victim as he came out of Walgreens, 3601 Bee Ridge Road, just after midnight Tuesday, according to the sheriff's office, and can be seen in the surveillane footage above provided from the store.
The couple wanted to buy the victim's prescriptions but the victim had only purchased over-the-counter allergy medicine, according to the sheriff's office.

When the victim attempted to get into his car, the male suspect tried to grab the man’s satchel from around his neck, according to the sheriff's office. When he couldn’t pull the satchel away the suspect hit the victim multiple times in the face before running to a white SUV driven by the female suspect and fleeing the scene, according to the sheriff's office.
