Missing Parrot Reunited With Owner In North Port: Police
Sierra, an African Grey parrot, flew out the window of her home Sunday and was found three days later, North Port police said.
NORTH PORT, FL — A North Port man was distraught when his beloved African Grey parrot, Sierra, flew out the window of their home Sunday.
Thankfully, North Port police were able to reunite the pair three days later.
In a video shared to Twitter, North Port police said the bird’s owner Dan Barry was “heartbroken” when she disappeared.

Three days after she flew the coop, Sierra was spotted about four miles from Barry’s home by another North Port resident, Samuel Sahatoo, who flagged down North Port police Officer Tyler Ragauckas.

Another member of the agency, Sgt. Shannon Fortuno had seen Barry’s Facebook post about his missing parrot and the department was able to reunite them.
“The duo could not be happier,” police said.
