MLK Day: What's Open, Closed In Sarasota

Sarasota city administration offices and some recreation facilities will be closed Monday to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

SARASOTA, FL — Sarasota city administration offices and some recreation facilities will be closed Monday to commemorate Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

Waste collection schedules will not be affected by the holiday, according to city officials.

The regular city commission meeting will be held on Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 1:30 p.m. and 6 p.m. in the Commission Chambers at City Hall, 1565 1st St.
