New Flights Connect SRQ Passengers With Houston, Peoria
United will fly between Houston and Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport, while Allegiant adds service to and from Peoria, Illinois.

SARASOTA, FL — Travelers flying out of Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) have two new destinations to choose from: Houston, Texas and Peoria, Illinois.
United Airlines will add daily nonstop service between Sarasota-Bradenton and George Bush Intercontinental/Houston Airport (IAH) starting Feb. 11, according to a press release from SRQ.
The flight will depart IAH at 11:55 a.m. and arrive in Sarasota at 3:04 p.m. daily. In will then depart SRQ at 4:45 p.m. and arrive in Houston at 6:25 p.m.

“We are excited about the continued growth of United Airlines at SRQ. This new service will provide our customers convenient access to the Houston area and many cities beyond in the United Airlines system and continues our network growth of over 40 destinations,” Rick Piccolo, SRQ president and CEO, said.
United Airlines already flies from Sarasota-Bradenton to Chicago, Newark and Washington, DC, the news release said.

Meanwhile, Allegiant Airlines adds a new flight from General Wayne A. Downing International Airport (PIA) in Peoria, Illinois to SRQ starting May 27, the airline said in a news release. Fares will be as low as $59 each way.
