Orioles Invite Fans To Go Green For Selby Gardens

A St. Patrick's Day fundraiser will benefit Sarasota's Selby Gardens.

SARASOTA, FL — Tampa Bay area baseball fans are invited to go green for a good cause this St. Patrick’s Day.

The Baltimore Orioles are inviting baseball fans out to Ed Smith Stadium, 2700 12th St., for the team’s “Go Green” Day. Presented by Waste Pro, the event kicks off during the March 17 game against the Minnesota Twins at 7:05 p.m.

“Orioles players and coaches will wear specially-designed white jerseys with green Orioles script lettering and a shamrock on the right sleeve with green caps for the game,” team officials explained in an announcement to media. “The caps and jerseys will be autographed, authenticated, and auctioned online at www.orioles.com/spring to benefit Marie Selby Botanical Gardens.”
