Palmetto COVID-19 Testing Site Moves To New Location

The coronavirus test site moves from Lincoln Park to the Bradenton Area Convention Center and will offer rapid and nasal swab tests.

PALMETTO, FL — The Florida Division of Emergency Management relocated the COVID-19 test center in Palmetto from Lincoln Park to the Bradenton Area Convention Center Friday. The convention center is located at 1 Haben Blvd. in Palmetto.

The site will operate daily from 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. After a break for lunch, it will open again from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. or until they reach a maximum of 500 test kits each day.

No appointment or prescription are necessary. The tests are free to the public and available to all ages.

To date, nearly 123,000 COVID-19 tests, which is about 30 percent of the population, have been completed in Manatee County. For the past seven days, Manatee County's positive test rate has been 4.7 percent.
