Pfizer Vaccine Clinic For Ages 16 And Older Scheduled Saturday

The DOH in Sarasota County will host a state-sponsored COVID-19 vaccine clinic for those 16 and older Saturday in North Port.

NORTH PORT, FL — The Department of Health in Sarasota County will host a pop-up COVID-19 vaccine clinic for anyone 16 and older Saturday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the George Mullen Activity Center at 1602 Kramer Way in North Port.

About 500 doses of the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine, the only brand with approval from the Food and Drug Administration for use by 16- and 17-year-olds, will be offered at this clinic, according to a news release from the DOH.

Since this is a walk-up clinic, no appointments are necessary. A second-dose vaccination clinic will be held at the same location on May 29.
