Police: Pedestrian Hit on Tamiami Trail
The pedestrian was taken to the hospital with life threatening injuries, police say.
A pedestrian was hit by a vehicle traveling northbound on Tamiami Trail around 2:30 Saturday morning, according to police. The person was taken to the hospital by Bayflight with life threatening injuries, according to a media release.
According to the Sarasota Police Department, the accident happened at Hillview and US 41.
The investigation is continuing and more information will be released at a later time regarding the condition and identity of the victim.
