Sarasota Man Wins $10,000 Powerball In New York

A Sarasota man has claimed $10,000 from the Nov. 24 Powerball drawing while playing the lottery in New York.

New York Lottery announced Monday that Kui Wen claimed the lottery ticket, which he purchased at Lucky Suzy, 738 Route 9 Suite 7 in Fishkill, N.Y., which is located about 12 miles south of Poughkeepsie, N.Y.

It appears Wen was travelling while purchasing the ticket. Patch confirmed that indeed, the winner resides in Sarasota, Florida, and not Saratoga, New York.

New York Lottery only provides photos of winners claiming $1 million or more.
