Sarasota Memorial’s First Physician’s Group joins UnitedHealthcare’s Medicare Advantage Program
Multi-specialty network adds more than 110 physicians in 21 locations to Medicare Beneficiaries in-network options
Medicare beneficiaries in Southwest Florida now have a new option for accessing healthcare services. Beginning October 1, people enrolled in UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage plans who live in Sarasota and Manatee counties may access care on an in-network basis from First Physicians Group of Sarasota, a medical group practice that is part of Sarasota Memorial Health Care System. The multi-specialty network includes more than 110 physicians in 21 locations.
As part of the relationship, First Physicians Group and UnitedHealthcare will work together to help improve people’s health and satisfaction with their health care experience, all in an effort to enhance the health and well-being of Medicare beneficiaries in Florida. UnitedHealthcare members with questions about how
this change affects them are advised to call the phone number on their member ID cards. The more than 220,000 Medicare beneficiaries in Sarasota and Manatee counties have an opportunity to make changes to their Medicare coverage during the Open Enrollment Period from October 15 to December 7.
