Sarasota Police: Shooting Victim Dies After Being Found In SUV
A 34-year-old man died at Sarasota Memorial Hospital after police found him suffering from a gunshot wound in an SUV.

SARASOTA, FL — A 34-year-old man died Thursday at Sarasota Memorial Hospital after police found him suffering from a gunshot wound in an SUV.
"Sarasota Police are investigating a shooting with two possible crime scene locations," according to the agency's Genevieve Judge.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, was found by Sarasota police near 21st Street and Palmadelia Avenue.

"Sarasota Police officers believe a shooting happened just before 2 p.m. near Leon Avenue and 24th Street," Judge said.
"Sarasota Police detectives do not believe this is a random act of violence," she said. Police were in the process of notifying the man's next of kin.

Judge told Patch she didn't know whether the man drove himself to the 21st Street location of if someone else drove him there.
