Sarasota Young Professionals Group Names Annual Award Finalists
The 2021 Young Professional of the Year Award winner will be announced at the Young Professionals Summit July 23 in Sarasota.
SARASOTA, FL — The 2021 Young Professional of the Year Award finalists have been announced by the Sarasota Young Professionals Group, a program of the Greater Sarasota Chamber of Commerce.
The three finalists are Jade Davis with Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, Ross Johnston with Marie Selby Botanical Gardens and Lauren Tominelli with Sarasota County government.
Each year, the award honors “a young professional in the Sarasota area that has demonstrated outstanding leadership personally, professionally and in our community,” according to a news release from the chamber.

The winner of the Young Professional of the Year Award will be announced live at the 2021 Young Professionals Summit July 23 at Embassy Suites Sarasota.

This half-day summit brings together local young professionals to hear from community leaders and to network with peers. Attendees will learn new ways to grow personally and professionally, the chamber said.
The keynote speaker is Charles Clark, a world-class sprinter and motivational speaker. His presentation is called “Adversity Makes You Stronger.”
Other presentations include “What Makes a Stellar Employee,” “Entrepreneurship: Making Your Dream a Reality,” “The Importance of Your Personal Brand,” “Career Ready” and “Community Forum: Energizing the Next Generation.”
