2.) Sarasota’s Art Uptown gallery hosts its 5th Annual Dog Days Art Show and display work in a special month-long exhibition. The juried show will run from Saturday, July 27 to Aug. 23. An opening reception will be held Friday, Aug. 2, 6-9 p.m.
3.) Low-Cost Vaccinations: Speaking of dogs, there will be a low-cost vaccination clinic Sunday at several locations: 10:00am-11:00am at the Family Dollar Store, 458 Venice By-Pass Venice; 12-1 p.m. at Merchants Pointe, 2881 Clark Rd. Sarasota; 2:00pm-3:00pm at Rent A Center, 4434 Bee Ridge Rd, Sarasota; 4-5 p.m. at Cathy’s Florist, 3404 U.S. 301 Ellenton.
4.) It's 5 o'Clock Somewhere: The Gas House Gorillas, a modern rock band that puts their twist to some older tunes, perform at the Five O'Clock Club, 1930 Hillview Street, Sarasota, on Saturday, 10 p.m. With a great stage show!
5.) Have Harley, Will Travel: The Great American Biker Bash: This adults-only event features live music, a flag raising ceremony to honor combat-wounded from Amvets and American Post 312, and a bike show with "adult games" (we can only guess). The event is Sunday, noon, at Peggy's Corral, 4511 Hwy 41 North, Palmetto.
