Southwest Adds 2 New Destinations From Sarasota Bradenton Airport

The airline has added nonstop service between SRQ and Dallas, Texas and Grand Rapids, Michigan.

SARASOTA, FL — Southwest Airlines has added nonstop service between the Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) and Dallas Love Field Airport in Texas, and Gerald R. Ford International Airport in Grand Rapids, MI.

The new flights will begin June 12 and is scheduled for Saturdays only, according to a news release from the airport.

In addition to these new destinations, Southwest will increase its existing daily service to Chicago Midway International Airport to two times each day Sunday through Friday starting May 9. Service to Columbus, Ohio; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; and Indianapolis, Indiana will increase from Saturdays only to five times a week Thursday through Monday starting May 9.

Southwest Airlines started service at SRQ on Feb. 14 with year-round service to Baltimore/Washington, Maryland; Chicago; Nashville, Tennessee; and Houston, Texas. The airline added year-round service to Atlanta, Georgia March 11 and Columbus, Indianapolis and Pittsburgh March 13. Flights to Milwaukee will begin April 17.
