Walking the Stations of the Cross is a centuries-old Christian tradition. The 14 stations depict 14 events that took place during Jesus’s journey to the cross, the church said.
The Church of the Redeemer Friday Men’s Breakfast Prayer Group founded this tradition of walking down Main Street in 1996, the church said. Those first events had fewer than 15 participants. Since then, it’s grown into a multi-church event with hundreds of participants.
