Suspicious Man Attempts to Give Girl a Ride outside Booker High

Sarasota County Sheriff's Office are searching for a man in a white Ford Sport Track who tried to give a girl a ride at Booker High School.

The Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to help identify a man who attempted to give a girl a ride outside Booker High School Thursday morning.

Just before 8 a.m., a 15-year-old girl was approached by a man in a white Ford Explorer Sport Trac pick-up in the 1400 block of Myrtle Avenue and asked if she needed a ride, according to the sheriff's office. The girl declined the offer and continued to walk to school as the driver yelled his phone number to the girl and drove off, accoridng to the sheriff's office. The girl reported the incident to the school, but the vehicle was not found.

The driver is described as a Hispanic man in his 30s. Surveillance cameras captured images of the vehicle which are provided for assistance in identifying the driver.
