Sarasota Airport Closed Tuesday Night, Will Reopen Wednesday
With Hurricane Elsa approaching the west coast of Florida, Sarasota Bradenton International Airport will close at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.

SARASOTA, FL — With Hurricane Elsa bringing adverse weather to the west coast of Florida by late afternoon, Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) will close at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday after the last commercial arrival scheduled for 5:30 p.m., according to a news release from the airport.
SRQ will reopen by 6 a.m. Wednesday after the airport is assessed for damages.
The airport urges all travelers to check with their airlines for the most up-to-date information regarding flight schedules.
