United Airlines, Delta Expands Service At SRQ Airport

SARASOTA, FL — Travelers flying out of Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) will have even more options as United Airlines and Delta expand their services.

United Airlines will extend its seasonal daily nonstop flights between SRQ and Denver International Airport through the summer, according to a news release from the airport.

The daily flight begins April 4 and runs through Sept. 6. The flight from Denver leaves daily at 10 a.m., arriving in Sarasota at 3:33 p.m. The return flight leaves SRQ at 4:04 p.m. and lands in Colorado at 6:10 p.m.

“We are excited to see United Airlines extending the seasonal nonstop service to Denver through the summer. This daily flight will provide our customers access to exciting vacation destinations and allow travelers another option when connecting to or from westbound destinations beyond,” Rick Piccolo, SRQ president and CEO, said.

United Airlines already offers flights between Sarasota and Chicago, Newark, Houston and Washington, D.C.

Meanwhile, Delta Air Lines will extend its seasonal daily nonstop flights between SRQ and Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport through the summer, an airport news release said. The service will run through Sept. 6.

The flight leaves Detroit daily at 8:30 a.m. and arrives in Sarasota at 11:11 a.m. The return service leaves SRQ at 12:31 p.m. daily and lands in Michigan at 3:22 p.m.

“This daily flight will provide travelers access to another major hub city in the Delta network,” Piccolo said.

Delta already offers flights between Sarasota and Atlanta, Minneapolis and New York.
