Venice golfer Robert Hougrand wins Grand Prize in Big Summer Golf Card's Big Money Tour

Venice and Port Charlotte golfers captured several prizes in the Big Summer Golf Card’s® Big Money Tour℠ drawing in July, including Robert Hougrand who won the $1,000 Grand Prize.

In total, the Big Summer Golf Card distributed $5,000 in cash and prizes to 10 Venice, Port Charlotte, and Sarasota Country resident golfers, each of whom golfed a minimum of five rounds at one or more of the 23 Big Money Tour participating courses.

At a special awards event held at the Venetian Golf & River Club, Head Golf Professional Chris Souchak presented the following awards on behalf of the Big Summer Golf Card:

2nd Prize $500 - Thomas Gaul, Sarasota

3rd Prize $500 - Jacqueline Myhrberg, Port Charlotte

4th Prize $250 - Richard Coleman, Port Charlotte

5th Prize $250 - Joel Cornett, Port Charlotte

6th Prize Golf Certificates - Philip E. Benton III, Port Charlotte

7th Prize Golf Certificates - Bonnie Wiskowski, Englewood

8th Prize Golf Certificates - John Hayes, Venice

9th Prize Golf Equipment - Michael Hall, Sarasota

10th Prize Golf Equipment - James Chisman, Venice

About The Big Money Tour
To qualify for a monthly drawing, golfers must be a Big Summer Golf Card holder and play at least five rounds at one or more of the participating 23 courses. Players receive an additional entry into the drawing for each additional five rounds of golf played in a given month. Drawings are held on the 15th of every month for the preceding month and prizes awarded to the winners at a special presentation at one of the exclusive participating courses.

Every month between May and October, five golfers share in $2,500 of cash prizes, a Grand Prize of $1,000 plus two-$500 and two-$250 cash prizes. In addition, five golfers receive prizes ranging from golf certificates for complimentary rounds of golf at participating courses or golf equipment.
