Up your golf game - The Golf Academy at University Park County Club offers September skill specific clinics

From nailing your long drive to getting out of a bunker to mastering a short shot, University Park Country Club’s Golf Academy clinics provide both technique and on-course beauty.

University Park Country Club is offering local golfers the opportunity to up their game with one or more of the Club’s Golf Academy skill-specific clinics in September.

Led by newly appointed Assistant Golf Pro Clinton Whitelaw, a former South African Open Champion and European Tour Winner, who has also coached many of the world’s elite professional and amateur golfers, including Anders Hansen, Trevor Dodds, Carl Yuan, Aden Ze, Retief Goosen and Hennie Otto, to name a few, clinic sessions are open to members and non-members as follows:

Men’s Tuesday Clinics

Time: 11 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Cost: $25/per person, per clinic

September 6 -- Woods & Long Drives

September 13 -- Chipping, Drills & Techniques

September 20 -- Short & Medium irons

September 27 -- Getting out of the bunkers

Ladies Wednesday Clinics

Time: 11 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Cost: $25/per person, per clinic

September 7 -- Woods & Long Drives

September 14 -- Chipping, Drills & Techniques

September 21 -- Short & Medium irons

September 28 -- Getting out of the bunkers
