118th Avenue WestBound Overnight Closure: Florida Transportation
Road construction crews will have a section of 118th Avenue westbound closed overnight for an overhead bridge project.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Drivers who usually take 118th Avenue westbound will need to take a detour on Tuesday night from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. into Wednesday as road construction crews temporarily close the section between 49th Street and U.S. Highway 19 for overhead bridge work, the Florida Department of Transportation said.
The work is associated with the Gateway Expressway project.
During this closure, westbound drivers will be detoured around the work zone using 49th Street, Ulmerton Road, 66th Street to Bryan Dairy Road.

Electronic message boards and detour signs will be used to assist drivers traveling through the area.
