Driver Rams Car Into Bicyclist, Charged With Attempted Murder: Police

Police have charged Breasia Niblack with attempted murder. They said she struck a woman she knew with her car in St. Pete Monday morning.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — An 18-year-old woman is accused of intentionally using her car to strike a woman on a bicycle as she rode on the sidewalk on Emerson Avenue South Monday morning, a St. Pete police news release said.

Breasia Marie Niblack, the driver, was arrested and faces a charge of second-degree attempted murder.

Niblack is accused of ramming her car into the 20-year-old victim in the 4300 block of Emerson Avenue South at 8:34 a.m., police said.

The victim — whose name police have not released — was last listed in critical condition by medical staff at a local hospital, police said.

Niblack and the victim knew each other, police said.

Police told Patch Monday night they did not know the exact issue the women had with each other.

Bond has not been set for Niblack and she is awaiting trial, according to the Pinellas County Jail arrest records.
