14-Year-Old Girl Forced To Perform Sex Act On School Bus: Report
A 19-year-old former Gibbs High School student faces a sexual battery charge after police said he sexually assaulted a girl on a school bus.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 19-year-old St. Petersburg man faces a sexual battery charge after police accused him of forcing a 14-year-old girl to perform a sex act on him during a Pinellas County school bus ride, Fox 13 News reported.
"According to his arrest report, Daniel Lee Sawyer grabbed the girl’s neck and refused to let go until she performed oral sex, even though she said ‘no’ "several times," the TV outlet reported.
The victim has been assaulted by him multiple times on a bus, according to an affidavit, WFLA said. The most recent incident occurred either Thursday or Friday. Pinellas County Schools spokesperson, Isabel Mascarenas said that Sawyer has not been a student at Gibbs High School since November 2019.

Detectives have not said why Sawyer had access to the school bus. Sawyer was arrested on a sexual battery charge Monday evening, according to the news station.
