179-Car Drive-In Theater Coming To Warehouse Arts District

ST. PETERSBURG, FL — Socially distant movie watching experiences are coming to the Warehouse Arts District in St. Petersburg with a drive-in movie theater.

Rooftop Cinema Club, a company with drive-in cinemas in Tampa, San Diego, New York City chose St. Pete for its great energy.

"We are very much looking forward to bringing our unique cinematic drive-In experience to St. Pete, and are currently working with the city, and the amazing landlords at Place Projects to bring this to fruition as soon as possible,"Gerry Cottle, founder, said.

The location will have enough space to park 179 cars. Movies will include classics and new releases.

Film watchers will watch a movie on a giant 64-foot cinema screen while receiving audio through the radio of their cars. Cleanliness will be practiced at the venue with sanitized bathrooms, contact-free ticket orders and contact-free concessions. Confirmed dates for its opening have not been released for its future location, 2100 Third Avenue South.
