40th Street Bridge Reopened Ahead Of Schedule

ST. PETERSBURG, FL -- The bridge on 40th Avenue between 12 Street Northeast and 13th Way Northeast has reopened to traffic.

The bridge was closed for construction on April 8.

It's been reopened sooner than planned due to coordinated efforts of the city's Engineering and Capital Improvements Department, the Stormwater, Traffic and Pavement Operations Department, the engineer and the contractor, and materials being delivered earlier than expected.

Drivers are encouraged to note the new traffic pattern which includes a pedestrian path.
