1. Tampa Bay Rowdies
Saturday night at Al Lang Stadium in downtown St. Petersburg, your Tampa Bay Rowdies are back home to take on the Carolina Railhawks. The game begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at rowdiessoccer.com or at the Al Lang Stadium box office. Tickets start at $16.Â
2 Free Museum Day
This weekend Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders can get into Bay area museums for free. In St. Pete, the Florida Holocaust Museum and Museum of Fine Arts are free. Present your bank card at the gate and receive free admission Sept. 7 and 8.Â
3. St. Pete Indie Market
The St. Pete Indie Market is a monthly seasonal showcase of local artists, indie designers, horticulturists, eclectic crafters and non-profit groups who take over the sidewalks of the 600 Block artist community the first Saturday of every month, a news release said. The market is from noon - 6 p.m.Â
4. First Friday
Enjoy music, beer and food in the streets Friday night as The Venturas turn a portion of Central Avenue in downtown St. Pete into a block party. The free party runs from 5:30 - 10 p.m. the first Friday of every month.Â
5. Blue October, Rancid at Jannus Live
Rock out to some metal and punk rock this weekend at Jannus Live with Blue October and Rancid. Friday night mellow metal rockers Blue October will take over the Jannus courtyard. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $30. Rancid plays Saturday night. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and tickets are $25.Â
