Beer Project Returns to Museum of Fine Arts
The third-annual fundraiser brings independent breweries together to help preserve a popular piece of art.

ST. PETERSBURG, FL – Fifteen independent breweries will come together once again to raise a glass to help preserve a priceless piece of art.
The third-annual Beer Project at the Museum of Fine Arts in St. Petersburg is set to take place Friday, June 9 from 7 to 10 p.m. The 15 local breweries participating will each present a hand-crafted beer, available for this night only, inspired by selected works in the museum.
This year’s event includes a roving tattoo parlor, themed pop-up beer lounges designed by Andrew Winchell of Inside Jobs Design and live painting by St. Petersburg-based muralist and artist Daniel Mrgan. The Croatia native’s works have been displayed in museums around the Tampa Bay area and has participated in events such as the Shine mural festival in St. Petersburg.

Mrgan’s large-scale work for the event, which will be painted live during Beer Project, will be auctioned off that evening. This year, money raised by the Beer Project will help preserve one of the Museum of Fine Arts’ most popular pieces, a 20th century beaded Bamileke elephant mask.
Participating breweries in the 2017 Beer Project include:
