Boy Injured By Gunshot As Teens In House Play With Gun: Police
A St. Petersburg boy experienced serious injuries Tuesday after a gun inside a house went off and struck him, police said.
ST. PETERSBURG, FL — A 14-year-old boy was seriously injured Tuesday night when he was shot inside a St. Petersburg house, St. Pete police said.
Five teenagers were playing with a gun when it went off, and the bullet struck the victim, according to authorities. No adults were present inside the house located in the 900 block of Eight Avenue South. The shooting was accidental, investigators said.
A 17-year-old is facing charges of being a minor in possession of a firearm. The victim was last listed in stable condition at a local hospital, detectives said.

*Due to the victim being a minor, Patch will not release his name. The 17-year-old's name will not be released either since they are a minor and facing a misdemeanor charge.
